Long Bay restaurant, or LBR, is one of Auckland’s only beachside dining experiences. Set in the beautiful Long Bay Regional Reserve, just a few feet from the sand and crashing waves, LBR is the most incredible place to enjoy a casual oceanside lunch with a glass of wine or spend the evening relaxing in our dining room or on our sprawling deck soaking in the views. Our award winning cuisine and welcoming service will leave you with an experience you won’t soon forget.

Chefs

• Amy Steyn – Amy joined the team in November from Taupo, originally Zimbabwe. Amy brings her rock solid skills to the table with her drive for consistant quality that always meets Andrews high standards.
• Andrew Meyers – Andrew Meyers has been Head Chef at LBR for two years. He has vast culinary experience from around the globe and has brought an exciting array of his biggest influences to the kitchen at Long Bay. Since being here Andrew has been awarded the Beef & Lamb Hallmark of excellence two years running and played the vital role in LBR achieving the Corbans Perfect Match Food & Wine Competition Copper Ladel award.
• Junior – Byron Has recently joined the team as chef after taking a high school aprenticeship in our kitchen. He’s a sponge for knowledge and you’ll soon see some of his infuences on the menu.
• Yann Poudolec – Yann was educated in the South of France and apprenticed at the 2 Michelin Star – Divonne les Bains Restaurant. He has been trained in all facets of French ciusine and has brought his talent to LBR to work under Andrew delivering a sensational array of balanced dishes to our menus.
