The two Turkish Cafes are located in the heart of Newmarket and Ponsonby, offering dine-in and takeaway meals. Our philosophy is to serve fresh, wholesome food inspired by Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine with a strong Turkish influence.
The Turkish Café in Ponsonby is located at 294 Ponsonby Road and is one of the mainstays of the Three Lamps shopping and dining area.
The Café has been operating here since the mid 1980′s and during this time has proved a hugely popular dining spot for locals and visitors alike. We even had a couple celebrate their wedding this us last year, after originally meeting at the Café!
Refurbished in 2007, the Café has a welcoming, rustic feel, with murals on the walls and Turkish artefacts tucked into corners.
The Café is open 11am till late, 7 days a week. Come in for a meal where you are guaranteed speedy service and quality food for a very reasonable price. Or relax and enjoy a traditional Turkish coffee or apple tea at one of the outdoor tables, while watching the world go by.
A separate takeaway menu is also available. Please place your order in advance if you are short of time, so we can have your food ready for you when you arrive.
Groups are always welcome and we have a menu with example set meals for you to choose from. We can also design a menu specially for your group – just tell us your favourite dishes.
