Sahaa
Sahaa is Algerian for good health. It also mean’s “thank you”. The restaurant was established in May 2004 and is the only North African restaurant in Auckland.
At Sahaa the cuisine is Algerian, Moroooan and Tunisian.
Sahaa specialises in tagines. A tagine is a traditional clay cooking vessel with a conical snaped cover. Tagine dishes are slow cooked at low temperatures resulting in tender and succulent meat.
CHEF
Makhlouf Benyettou – Sahaa’s chef and owner Makhlouf Benyettou preserves his own lemons and makes his own harissa, ras el hanout and chermoula.
