Bar Comida is a contemporary style café situated right in the heart of The Promenade Mission Bay. The menu is inspired by simple, flavoursome food of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

Tapas are Bar Comida’s specialty. These entrée sized dishes are usually shared and served a couple at a time, so you end up having a little bit of everything! You can either choose the Tapas from the list or the waiters are knowledgeable enough to surprise you with a selection.

Bar Comida also serves a selection of wood fired pizzas and main size meals. Of the pizzas – the Rangitoto Spinach Pizza is worthy of a mention – on traditional pide flatbread (made into the shape of Rangitoto) and topped with spinach, feta cheese, red onion and egg – delicious!

The main menu offers up many mouth-watering options including the Spiced Lamb Skewers on hummus, with tahini sauce & harissa – one of the favourites of the house. Or the El Toreador – scotch fillet steak draped with roasted red pepper, served on a potato and cheese gratin with guava relish, greens and a sherry jus – to die for!

The dessert menu is vast, full of delectable delights such as homemade Chocolate Buttermilk Cake or Sticky Date Pudding served with toffee sauce and cream. Good coffee and an extensive selection of teas makes for the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

Open Mon-Thurs 8am til late, and Fri-Sun and public holidays 7am til late. Licensed.
