Master Chef, Takashi Ueno presents the kitchen with his outstanding culinary skills. Born within the ranges of Fukushima, a coastal region specialising in fishing and seafood, Chef Takashi was inspired by an environment where freshness and flavour were infused in daily life. He worked in many world class locations, including Club Med in the Mauritius Islands, Thailand, New Caledonia, Malaysia, Sapporo, Moiré Island and Tahiti.
Chef Takashi then returned to Tokyo, Japan where he perfected the art of handmade sauces and marinades that sets him apart from his contemporaries. He was Chef for five years at the 5 Star Carlton Hotel and now has brought his perfected art of distinctive and unrivalled Japanese cuisine to Umi.
