• Chef: Kasiano Tagoai – Our chef Kasiano has been in the industry for over 20 years. He sees himself more of an artist than a chef and describes his cooking as an art form, challenging himself to paint his dishes with a combination of ingredients.Kas is no stranger to winning awards. Competing as a last minute entrant with little preparation, against 600 others and an audience of thousands at the New Zealand Culinary Fare was quite an undertaking. But his dish of seared venison, cooked rare, with warm orzo and a wild mushroom stack, cranberry and liquorice compote, tempura beans and a pinot jus, was the winning choice earning Kas a gold.Kas has trained with some of the best. With a background in fine French cuisine from his time at Antoine’s, all the way back to following recipes at the age of five, he was destined to be a top chef. His unique European style and french flair, well renowned tender meat dishes and devine desserts, is sure to become an instant hit.
